C. S. Lewis - Qoutes

Márta, köszönöm, hogy eszembe juttattad ma C. S. Lewis-t!

Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival.

Eros will have naked bodies; Friendship naked personalities.

To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless-it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.

Nothing that you have not given away will ever be really yours.

You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
